About Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210
The E-class, W210 was presented in 1995 as a successor to W124, bringing a somewhat new front design to the MB line-up, with four round headlights. The model was available as a saloon model, later also in an estate version (S210) with engines from a 95 bhp four pot diesel up to fire breathing AMG V8's. During the time the W210 was produced, Mercedes also introduced the then new commonrail-tiden som Mercedes introducerade den då nya common rail technology for diesel engines which made the most powerful diesel model, E320 CDI produced almost 200 bhp. Furthermore, in 1997, W210 got the then almost new, electronic automatic gearbox, 5G-tronic. The model received a facelift in 2000. It has also had corrossion problems due to new paint methods, costing Daimler-Benz vast amounts in terms of money for warranty claims. It was replaced in 2002 by W211.
