About Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124

W124 was presented in 1985 as the successor to W123. Despite, judging by modern standards, fairly conservative  looks, the model was significantly more modern than the older model with extremely low drag coefficient and high safety standards. It soon became an icon, a car that easily passed as a dicreet taxi in 200 D-guise as well as the Autobahn-storming 326 hp 500 E.  W124 is by many considered "the last proper Merc", with build quality few other cars has surpassed. It was available as four-door saloon, estate, coupé as well as cabriolet, and the stretched version "Lang". The last cars in the series were produced in 1996 when it was succeeded by W210.
